About
Counselling - Hypnotherapy - Psychology
With the use of my MSc in Counselling Psychology and Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, I am able to draw on a wide array of techniques, therapeutic approaches, and tools that are tailored to your needs.
When it comes to counselling it's important to shop around to find someone that you feel comfortable with.
People that have worked with me have often said that I am calm, warm, respectful and understanding, to such an extent that they are able to share things that they have never shared with anyone else before.
I recognise that each client is unique, some individuals come with a clear goal in mind, others want to gain more insight about themselves. Some might feel stuck in life, or feel frustrated or angry with what they are experiencing at present and need some support moving forward or to simply feel different or better.
I draw on a number of counselling and psychological theories, such as Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Systemic, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and Solution focused theories to help individuals explore and move forward towards their goals.
I am particular interested in culture, neurodiversity, family and relationships, which can really help our understanding of ourselves.
Clients say that sessions feel comfortable and informal, allowing information to flow freely. This enables me to get a detailed history, an in depth understanding of the individual and what is wanted/required or needed from sessions. We can then work together to decide on the best intervention and therapy goals that suit you.
